What are the dates again?
The Art of Participatory Leadership takes place Thursday April 18 through Saturday April 20 in Guelph, Ontario from 9am – 6pm.
How long is the training?
The Art of Participatory Leadership takes three full days, lasting from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. We will have one evening session on the middle day. Please make sure you are available for the entirety of the training.
I have a conflict – can I come late?
We encourage all participants to clear their calendars for the full three days. Since this training is based on action learning, if you arrived late, you would miss foundational pieces that are instrumental in building your capacity as a host.
What does it cost?
We are committed to finding a way for all who are interested to attend.

We have added to our pricing structure to reflect this commitment and hope to see you in Guelph, April 18-20.

  • Organizational Rate (For-profit business or Institution): $1,400 + HST*
  • Non-profit Rate (Community Group or Social Enterprise) $1200 + HST*
  • Community Supported Sliding Scale Fee: $725 – $1199 + HST

If a sliding scale still isn’t feasible, please be in touch. We are committed to removing barriers for those who really wish to be there.
**$50 discount to 10C members

Full registration fees cover honorariums to stewards, space for the three-day training, lunches, and a celebratory dinner on the Friday evening. Travel and accommodations are not included.

Cancellation Policy

At this time, tuition is non-refundable, unless there are extenuating circumstances. You can choose to transfer your registration to another person until April 15. Please be in touch as soon as possible.

What's included in the price?

Registration includes tuition fees, daytime snacks, lunches, a celebratory dinner on Friday night.

If I can’t come, is a refund possible?

Cancellation is possible by email before February 29 (registration will be refunded less a 15% admin charge). After February 29, tuition is non-refundable.

You can choose to transfer your registration to another person until April 1.

What if I really want to come but need support?

If you would like support with tuition, we invite you to share a brief proposal describing what you are able to pay and your interest in taking part.

We ask you to consider paying what you can, keeping in mind that we have costs to cover to make the training feasible. Please do not consider this a guarantee. We are considering the overall finances of the training to see how much support we are able to offer.

We are meeting at 10C Shared Space in the vibrant urban core. 10C is the hub for community activators and changemakers in the City of Guelph. 10C uses placemaking, social enterprise, social finance, social innovation – and food – to create new ways to connect, collaborate and share resources.
